May 5, 2021: ASA updates regarding Outdoor Sport Activities

IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION from ALBERTA SOCCER ASSOCIATION

Many of you will have watched the brief press conference yesterday (May 4, 2021) evening that mentioned the additional restrictions that will come into affect for the province and for sport.

The key to the announcement last night is that many restrictions are coming into affect immediately, May 5, but for sport the restrictions come into affect on May 9 at 11:59 PM for “high case regions”.

This is defined as having more than 50 cases per 100,000 and more than 30 active cases.

The list of active cases by region and the second link provides access to a map to help locate regions if someone is unsure of their status.
