EMSA Referee Courses Information
To be involved as a referee in the 2023/2024 Indoor program you must currently be registered with Alberta Soccer (ASA) as a Youth/District/Regional/National Referee or MINI REFEREE.

2023/2024 Indoor Season
EMSA will host the following Referees Courses for the 2023/2024 Indoor Season
ASA CONVERSION COURSE
For existing Youth/District/Regional/National District Referees who have not completed an Indoor Conversion Course within the last 2 years. This course is for Arena (boarded) Indoor Soccer. The course is a 6-hour in class course and 1 hour field session.
These courses are offered through refcentre and will be available for registration shortly. Your ASA fees must be up to date to be able to participate.
To sign up for a Conversion Course, log in to your Refcentre account at www.refcentre.com – and use the ‘Registration’ menu and look for Conversion Courses with EMSA as the host.
EMSA will host the following course:
DATE: October 1st, 2023
LOCATION: Edmonton South Facility 6520 Roper Rd
TIME: Meeting room (proshop) from 12:00 to 6:00pm + Field #14 time form 6:00 to 7:00
DATE: October 7, 2023
LOCATION: Edmonton South Facility 6520 Roper Rd
TIME: Meeting room (proshop) from 9:00 to 3:00pm + FIELD #11 time form 3:30 to 4:30
ASA REFRESHER COURSE
For existing Youth/District/Regional/National District Referees who have completed an Indoor Conversion Course within the last 2 years.
Your ASA fees must also be up to date. This course has two parts.
- An online modules is available on refcentre. Log into your refcentre account and under the Registration Menu look for online modules.
- The course this year will be done online
EMSA INDOOR MINI CONVERSION COURSE —-> FULL
The EMSA Indoor Mini Referee Conversion Course is for existing ASA Registered Mini Referees that have not previously been involved in the EMSA Indoor program. The course is so that one can referee U9 boarded games in the EMSA Indoor Program.
In order to participate in this course one must fulfil the following criteria –

- be currently registered with ASA as a Mini Referee (not Youth or District)
- be able to officiate on Saturdays
- be able to officiate at any of the indoor boarded facilities in Edmonton
DATE: Saturday 23rd 2023 at Edmonton Soccer Centre EAST 12720 Victoria Trail Edmonton, AB T5A 5G4 from 11:am to 3:15pm:
- classroom from 11:am to 2:00pm (meeting room #4)
- field time from 2:15pm to 3:15pm (field #7)

EMSA Non-Boarded Refresher Courses
Any referees that have taken the Entry Level Course and would like to officiate non-boarded games at Viktoria or The Edmonton Soccer Dome will need to attend this course.
October 1st from 8:30pm to 9:30pm
